Transparency: Our philosophy is to be completely transparent in what we do, because we believe in ecological, economical, and social sustainability. We simply want you as our customer to have full insight in our daily work. Partly because we want you to know exactly what you purchase and how it effects our planet. But also because we want to give you the possibility to influence our work. Quality: We have chosen our name with care. When we founded Standout Chocolate we had a clear goal; To source, craft and share the best chocolate we possibly can, and never cut back on quality. That goal has not changed.
By working with the best suppliers and focusing on finding new interesting origins, with unique taste profiles, we can always be at the forefront and develop the standard for craft chocolate.
Our ingredients
We like to keep it simple! Why add a lot of unnecessary ingredients when you get the cleanest and most honest flavor with as few ingredients as possible?Cacao: Organic cacao from carefully selected origins. We ensure that the farmers get well paid for their cacao - we pay more than the commodity market price - so that the farmers can reinvest the money and develop their farms and local community.
Cane Sugar: Organic cane sugar from farms in South America that has been refined by Nordic Sugar in Arlöv, Sweden.
Our packaging
We strive to use materials with as little impact on the environment and society as possible. For us it is important that the suppliers we use share our pursuit of sustainable products. For us, it means that the products are made from renewable raw materials grown responsibly.
Inner packaging: Biodegradable and compostable Biofilm supplied by Eco-Craft in Lancashire, England. The Biofilm is made of corn or potato starch and will biodegrade to carbon dioxide and water.
